Arvin: This problem is ISP related issue where limiting their clients to use the port 25 or 26 to send email from any email client like Outlook. You should contact your internet provider regarding this kind of problem.

It’s been a month since we are have problems sending our mail and this is clearly a SMTP issue. We already reported this to our internet provider which is PLDT and ’til now they don’t have any action regarding this kind of problem.

Workaround to the PLDT SMTP issue:
1. use smtpdsl.pldtdsl.net, don’t authenticate, use default port (25)
2. use smtpdsl4.pldtdsl.net, don’t authenticate, use port 587.
Hope this helps. I had problems sending out emails, PDLT customer care does not seem to care, and those manning the 171 complaint desks don’t know what to say.
